"Jane" Fascinator

The "Jane" Fascinator is named in honor of World-renowned Master Milliner Jane Taylor. I began this fascinator as a project during the 2024 Millinery Meetup where I learned the techniques I used for this piece from one of my millinery heroes, Jane Taylor.

I first blocked the off white sinamay on my "Kate" block. I stiffened and hand wired embroidered appliques in navy, periwinkle & white and attached them onto the base to create height. I then added a plume of navy & white tulle off the back of the fascinator for more drama and volume. The underside of the fascinator is lined with satin fabric.

This lightweight and easy-to-wear fascinator attaches to your head with an elastic headband. This piece is both a showstopper with a regality. It would look lovely worn with a navy blue or white sundress.
