"Cherry Blossom" Hatinator

The "Cherry Blossom" Hatinator was blocked using a large "Dior" style brim block I bought from Highland Hatblocks. I used a white straw capeline shaped over the block. Once off the block, I machine sewed rows of white and pink thread. It is also covered on half with cotton cherry blossom printed fabric. It is embellished with pink & red silk flower petals and rhinestones. This hatinator should be worn with a slight tilt to the right.

This hat is elegant and sophisticated. It would be perfectly paired with a little black dress and stilettos.

I started this hat while attending Millinery Meet-Up at Arrowmont School for the Arts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in September of 2024. I. learned the techniques from Australian Milliner Phillip Rhodes.
